So I wasn't feeling all to well- so instead of doing something productive during naptime, I browsed the internet. Found a string of pictures/ideas I like on facebook. :) Enjoy!  Karen- I couldn't help but think of you when I found most of these! You're the best!

Various plants (in no particular order) that you can regrow from the food you already have! Woot! Way to reuse and recycle! I constantly have green onions and celery growing. (And potatoes/sweet potatoes but that just because they decided to do that in my pantry) Do you guys regrow any of your food?
Leeks- same technique as green onions
Romaine Lettuce- Same technique as celery
Cabbage- Same technique as celery
Avocado -http://www.thehungrymouse.com/2009/09/09/how-to-grow-an-avocado-tree-from-an-avocado-pit/
If you’re really interested in this kind of kitchen food experimentation, you’ll be happy to know about a great book on the subject called Grow it, Don’t Throw It!: 68 Windowsill Plants from Kitchen Scraps by Deborah Peterson. She walks you through all the specifics of growing 68 different things from your kitchen supplies. The book is packed with tons of helpful information!

I can't wait to get a better blender and make green smoothies! Until then- better salads here I come! :)

I have one house plant right now- but I desperately want to get more!I tink I'll try one of these!

1. Bamboo Palm: According to NASA, it removes formaldahyde and is also said to act as a natural humidifier.

2. Snake Plant: Found by NASA to absorb nitrogen oxides and formaldahyde.

3. Areca Palm: One of the best air purifying plants for general air cleanliness.

4. Spider Plant: Great indoor plant for removing carbon monoxide and other toxins or impurities. Spider plants are one of three plants NASA deems best at removing formaldahyde from the air.

5. Peace Lily: Peace lilies could be called the “clean-all.” They’re often placed in bathrooms or laundry rooms because they’re known for removing mold spores. Also know to remove formaldahyde and trichloroethylene.

6. Gerbera Daisy: Not only do these gorgeous flowers remove benzene from the air, they’re known to improve sleep by absorbing carbon dioxide and giving off more oxygen over night.
If you can't even put a plant in your living room because you say it is too much trouble, then you need to die and wait for the other life to bring sense in your spirits!!

Now this is what I call a great tip! :)

Karen- what a great way to make a second use of Kimi's eggs! And planting the sprouts woould be so easy!

I saw a tv stand like this at DI about a week ago- too bad its not still there! :( This is way cool!!!

This one had some comments on it about adding a pump/filter, so that mosquitos don't make it a nest... but its super cute!

This is next one is just good know-how... I think I will print it and lamiate it! anyone have any expereience with these ideas? I know a couple of them work! We'll see about the rest.

This is the lid to a parmesean cheese container- the Kraft ones... and a canning jar! :)

This one is way to GREAT of a tip to not include!!!

Anyway- that's it for now! Take Luck! ~ and have a wonderful day!
